The Dangerous Game of Playing God

“Where is the wise man?  Where is the scholar?  Where is the philosopher of this age?  Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  For since in the wisdom of God; the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.”  (I Corinthians 1:20-21)

Many modern philosophers call themselves secular humanist proponents.  That is a system of thought which rejects God and any   reality of meaningful life apart from nature and human reasoning.      According to their “natural” reasoning, there is no designer, no divine power; in short; no sovereign God.  Therefore, the highest intelligence is human nature.  They believe humans are solely capable of solving human problems, people naturally have goodness and can find happiness on their own without a god crutch.  The two fatal flaws of a humanist led culture are: (1) The inability to deal with evil and (2) The lack of personal accountability. This is the root of lawlessness, genocide and tyranny.  Anything that goes wrong can be blamed on people of faith, who must be silenced.

People who are proponents of faith in God are often misled by human solutions as well, but God has demonstrated a sustained  determination to show unbreakable good will through His Son Jesus. He also has warned mankind, whom he blessed with freedom and free will, to turn from evil and trust in Him; no matter what.
